About This Spot

Stepping into Mom's Cafe & Catering on Main Street feels like slipping into a well-worn family kitchen, where time slows down enough to savor both good company and hearty food. The pace here is unhurried, matching the easy rhythm of a close-knit town where folks know each other by name and stories are shared over coffee that warms more than just your hands.

Bright morning light spills across polished wood tables as the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingles with the scent of cinnamon and sizzling breakfast staples. It is the kind of spot where breakfast is never rushed—where the cinnamon roll French toast or a plate of homemade chicken fried steak arrives generous and still steaming, a quiet invitation to linger a little longer. The menu, lovingly crafted, reflects familiar classics and hearty homemade touches that feel like a secret handed down through generations.

Beyond the food, what sets Mom's apart is the sincere warmth that seems to pour into every corner of the room. The friendly, welcoming team moves with genuine care, making guests feel less like customers and more like part of the family. There’s a comforting intimacy here, reminiscent of visiting a grandparent’s home where everyone is celebrated, and the stories flow as naturally as the coffee refills.

Whether you’re settling in for a leisurely breakfast or stopping by for a homey plate of comfort food in the afternoon, there’s a steady sense of belonging that gently wraps around the experience. It’s this unassuming kindness—paired with thoughtfully prepared meals—that turns a simple visit into a meaningful moment.

I was laying in bed craving biscuits and gravy and I remembered my neighbor mentioning how good the food was here. The biscuits and gravy were outstanding! Big chunks of sausage, soft biscuits and served hot. The portion was larger than I expected...which is just fine with me. This place is great and I'll be back for sure.

Wonderful people who love to serve. I have ate at Mom's Cafe several times. Across many dishes. Never disappointed with the taste and portion. Atmosphere is like going over to Grandmom's house for my favorite dish made from love.

We had the pleasure of eating lunch at Mom's today and Oh! My! Goodness! I cannot wait to go back! The food was beyond delicious! The menu selections were amazing! The service was spectacular! And on the way out, had the pleasure of meeting the owner; what a sweet, sweet lady! Would I drive 2.5 hours to dine here again? YES!

Nice mom and pop Cafe that has a decent selection. My friend is a regular. We drop in when I visit. I live on the north end of Omaha, so I don't get down there that often. Food is good and prices reasonable. Portions are on the bigger side. The place has been in operation in one form or another since the end of WW2?
